Why Won't Israel Admit It Has Nukes?

Trouble in Iran. Israel's longstanding policy of "nuclear ambiguity" is based on strategic concerns, not legal obligations. It has not signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, or NPT, so its assumed nuclear program doesn't violate any international agreements. An openly nuclear Israel, however, might give Iran, an original signatory, cover to withdraw from the treaty, since members may drop out if "extraordinary events … have jeopardized the supreme interests" of the country.

"The odds a woman has had sex on a first date are 1 in 6.06…If this is all you’re after (shame on you) you’d need to value sex at $1,515 for this to be a worthwhile gamble. Otherwise, a better investment shouldn’t be too hard to find..."

Falling Out of Love

"Just as we often fall in love with the little traits or quirks of our partner—a crooked smile, a goofy laugh or the way he or she fawns over a pet—we can fall out of love over seemingly small things."

"Kids who got paid all year under a very elegant scheme performed significantly better on their standardized reading tests at the end of the year. Statistically speaking, it was as if those kids had spent three extra months in school, compared with their peers who did not get paid."
