Is the tip differential related to the fact that women may be more "active" during their peak period of fertility vs. a bit more sluggish (and less hussler-like) during menstruation?

I doubt it had anything to do with how the women themselves were actually feeling. Pheromones probably had something to do with it. I read somewhere that men's bodies can detect a woman's fertile period, although the men themselves may have no idea what makes a woman more attractive at that time...
