Can an A-Bomb Stop a Hurricane?

"For it to actually stop a storm it would have to raise barometric pressure (the weight of the air above the ground) considerably. In fact, a nuclear blast wouldn't even cause a hiccup. To change a devastating Category 5' cane into a merely pesky Category 2, at least a half-ton of air would have to be added to every square meter of space within the hurricane's eye."
