Why Fat America? Politics.

"The USDA grossly underfunds the healthiest foods while pouring billions into a farm bill that supports many of the foods its dietary recommendations warn against."

I don't think new nutritional guidelines, regulations, or anything will solve the root cause to obesity. They may help, but the problem lies in our loss of being in tune with our bodies. If people really were in tune with things, they would know that their bodies felt wrong and unhealthy, they would know which foods could take care of them, and they would know when to exercise. The last thing people need is more guilt and doctrine - you should be eating/doing this this and this. By being in tune with everything, it's actually stripping away all these "to dos" and the outcomes would come naturally.

The question is, how do we get people reacquainted to nature?
