I agree. Luxury in today’s world, where many of us are categorized as “haves,” refers to a level of comfort you can afford, which often times can be obtain by purchasing services, rather than items you own.

Has "schadenfreude" become an in word for 2009? It is used in another article you posted today, “Rational Underpinnings of ….”
