Q: Are there more males or females on the planet?
A: People often assume that, despite the fact that males slightly outnumber females at birth, females must outnumber males in the total population because male life expenctancy is shorter. Yet this is not the case. Males slightly outnumber females overall: There are 1.01 males for every female in the world.
